Pathmajan Rasan, Founder & CEO
Pathmajan Rasan is a seasoned investment professional with over three decades of experience in the financial industry. Following a career in engineering and an MBA, he joined Salomon Brothers in 1988 where he worked on a series of proprietary trading projects including developing investment strategies that were traded on the prop trading desk.
In 1999, Pathmajan launched Midtown Investments and managed a systematic equity market-neutral hedge fund, one of the first of its type in Europe. Over the next decade, he successfully launched and managed two further hedge funds.
He then joined Brevan Howard, managing allocations using quantitative equity, macro, and currency strategies over five years. In 2016, he joined PGIM, where he spent four years developing and helping trade quantitative equity and macro strategies.
Recognising the evolving needs of the asset management industry, Pathmajan has since focused on applying his experience to the development of SmartRiskAlpha, a technology platform supporting quantitative research, strategy design, and investment analysis through a structured and scalable framework.
